We are the Owners Engineer of M/s. Khanna Paper Mills Ltd. (KPML), for the complete power plant field. There are existing cogeneration power plants: 1 x 17.5 MW & 1 x 10.5 MW capacities.
Scope of Works:
- Installation of 1 x 30 MW Cogeneration coal/petcoke based Power Plant.
- Modifications and improvements in the 1 x 10.5 MW & 1 x 17.5 MW coal / petcoke based Power Plant for its efficient operation and to enable the plant to meet the latest Central pollution Control Board, India (CPCB) pollution norms.
- Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) Unit for existing 1x 115 TPH & 1x 70 TPH Boilers and new 1 x 160 TPH boiler to meet the revised CPCB pollution norms (SO2 < 100 mg/Nm3). FGD is a set of technologies used to remove Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) from exhaust flue gases of fissile fuel based power plants and from the emissions of other SO2 emitting processes (TRASH incineration).
- Sludge dryer; paper plants produce a by-product called paper sludge from the process which contains around 50-60 percent moisture. Disposal of the sludge is of vital importance from the environmental point of view. One of the ways to dispose the sludge is to burn it in the boilers, in order to do that the moisture content in the sludge need to be reduced. Sludge dryer is one of the ways to dry the sludge (moisture removal). The dried sludge is easy to handle and also to burn the boiler which result in fuel saving.
